The Author

Born September 1, 1962
LD Bethune, LPN, is an author, licensed practical nurse, wellness advocate, and creative visionary whose work blends fiction, healing, discipline, and transformation.
With more than sixteen years of frontline nursing experience and decades of dedication to fitness and wellness, LD brings a rare combination of clinical insight, emotional intelligence, and cinematic storytelling to his books. His writing explores survival, trauma recovery, leadership, sisterhood, spiritual discipline, hidden strength, and the consequences of silence.
His stories often center on powerful women, secret societies, warriors, healers, and survivors who must face not only external threats, but the buried truths within themselves. Whether writing fiction, wellness content, or empowerment material, LD's mission remains the same:
"To remind people that healing is not weakness, survival is not silence, and power often begins where pain was once hidden."
He is the founder of 4everOWL — Optimum Wellness Lifestyle, a platform dedicated to storytelling, wellness, creative empowerment, and personal transformation.
Signature Reflection
"Discipline from my parents gave me the spiritual backbone into adulthood. Discipline from the military gave me a reason to fight, showed brotherly love and bonding, and having support. As a nurse, put me in the position to demonstrate outwardly: care, dignity, respect for human lives, and compassion."
